Northern Woods Wrap-Up

Well, it's been a fun time, but the Northern Woods Exhibition has finally come to a close. The show ran for four days last weekend, Thursday through Sunday. We had some really good traffic through the exhibit that resulted in many conversations about woodworking, furniture, and craft in general. The show is never a disappointment. By the second day, my voice was raw from all the conversation, but it was worth it to have this opportunity to meet so many new people and to rekindle old friendships.

My entry, "Serenity", received an award from the judges for Best Detail, and with all of the fine pieces on display at this year's show, it was really an honor. Also, soon the list of all of this year's award recipients will be posted with photography at the guild website. Be sure to check it out.

Thank you very much to all the fine people who stopped by to visit with me at the show, and to those who have since contacted me with questions and kind words of support. It was a very inspiring weekend. I'm charged-up and ready for another year of furniture making, and already looking forward to next year's show!

Hej då!
