Northern Woods Wrap-up
I promised in my last post to show you a picture of my entry at the Northern Woods Exhibition. Although the piece was well received, as it turns out, some folks couldn't distinguish between my project and its display stand. Oops. I confess I learned something last week about properly displaying a wall-hung piece. In other words, "Use a wall." The display stand allowed the public to view the back of the piece, as I intended, but next time I'm hoping the display goes unnoticed and the piece gets all the attention.
I'm grateful that the piece received "Best Original Design", but I'll always wonder what role the display rack played in it. It took a few months to design and make the mirror and only a few days to design and build the stand.
Oh well, live and learn.
Hej då!
