Feedback from the Field

I've been a bit lax in keeping on with the blog posts. Lots of distracting little things happening these days, but now I'm very close to sinking my teeth into those black walnut planks I showed you in December, so please stay tuned.

On the topic of tuning-in to the blog... I'd like to thank the kind reader who sent in the following email and who gave me his okay to share it on the web site:

"Craig, [ran into] your blog a few days ago. I have spent some time covering it over the past few days. What a GREAT blog........I have been working wood for about 35 years, [I am] 70.........And wish I had attended your Inside Passage School when I was younger..........What a great school for furniture making....Too late now Too old. But still love to build furniture..............wish you were near so I could visit your shop........Once again thanks for providing such an informative blog...." B.L.

As an alumnus of the Inside Passage School of Fine Cabinetmaking, I want to let everyone know that it's never too late to learn, especially when you can do it in such a welcoming environment as they have out there at IP. At the school, both beginning and experienced woodworkers learn side-by-side, each progressing at their own pace and at their own level, sharing their experiences along the way. If I could go back again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

If you like the blog, I hope you'll share it with your friends! That's what those nifty little buttons are for below each post. ;-) I really appreciate your feedback, and I hope you will all consider sharing your thoughts or questions, as comments to the various blog posts, or if you prefer, please feel free to send me an email. Thanks for tuning in! I look forward to hearing from you.

Hej då and happy shavings!
