Carol and I made a trip out to the Pacific Coast of British Columbia this spring for a reunion with friends and a celebration of the tenth anniversary of Inside Passage School of Fine Cabinetmaking. It was a great time to renew old friendships and to begin new ones. The group of alumni in attendance consisted mostly of amateur woodworkers with a few of us professionals mixed in. All those present seemed to share one important thing... we all take enjoyment in the craft very, very seriously!
The weekend started with an informal social gathering on Friday evening. On Saturday, there was an amazing exhibition of student and faculty work, also held at the school. So much beautiful work to see and appreciate. Below are a few photos of the exhibition.
We later gathered for the obligatory group photo.
Well, I guess I've been blogging a lot lately about events and celebrations. Have no fear, I haven't forgotten about woodworking! I have, in fact, begun a new project and will be writing soon about its progress. For now, I'm taking it slow as the material is acclimating to the relative humidity of the studio.
Hej då and happy shavings!
